A Movie...

Well, I finally got around to at least one movie on the list. And the lucky winner was…Saved!

It's a bit heavy handed at times, and while I might quibble with some of the moral philosophy that seems to come through at least at one point ( a sort of, "if it feels right, it must be right" thing) I must say that I thought the movie was very good. The fundamentalist satire is pretty good, and maybe, just maybe, a little over the top, but then again, maybe not.

What I especially liked was how the film raised questions about the nature of sin, grace, and community. It's the kind of movie that you can discuss with friends and have a good amount of fodder for the discussion.

Macaulay Culkin in this film, looks like my friend Chris. I laughed at loud when I realized this.
